Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actress. She was awarded an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress for The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She is fluent in French, German English, as well as Romanian. Her mother was a violinist, Her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's best theater schools. In 2000, the young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. It won her numerous prizes, including an award from the European Film Award Best Actress to London Film Critics. In 2007, her role on Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 days (4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days), won both the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Also, she appeared as an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular in The Romanian drama Boogie along with Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. She played Irma on Fury 2014, where she portrayed an German name aunt of Emma.
